What's coming in the next version

A short note on what we're cooking up. No promises on dates, but in order.

Full-screen notes editor

For using Floatask as a project notebook without switching tools. Full Markdown, a large modal, a clean preview. It's almost in production.

Kanban with horizontal scroll on mobile

Three columns on a 375px screen never look right. We're moving to one column at a time with snap, and hiding the Kanban button in narrow portrait — you can rotate to landscape whenever you want the whole thing at a glance.

Recurrences (a first step)

The big missing piece. We're starting with the simplest cases: every Monday, the first Tuesday of every month, this same day every year. No cron strings, no exclusion rules, no exception lists. If you need something more complex, a nested task with its steps will still do the job.

A minimal API and incremental export

Your data is yours. Today you can export everything as JSON. The idea is to also offer an authenticated GET /api/snapshot.json endpoint for those who want to sync against another tool.

If there's something specific you're missing, write to us. The real roadmap is the requests that come up most often.
